Christine Normandin

Meet the rookie! Underneath that otherwise serious and quiet character lies the closet party girl. Work hard, live hard? In the present case, live hard, party like mad would fit better! Well behaving law student by day, daring party lover by dawn, Christine is the balance between two extremes. Her interests vary from playing baroque music, bathing in the snow and diving into her neighbors' recycling box seeking for potential pieces of art to drinking 15 cups of coffee a day and backpacking India or any random destination for 6 months. Never be shy to come and chew the fat with her: discovering people's philosophy of life is among her favorite hobbies. Ask her to shake you any drink at the same time: devoted and always happy, she'll jump over the bar to serve you! Curious? That's only the sneak preview…

The Party Room is for everyone attending our event. It usually opens up after the band is done playing (about 2am). FREE drinks are served, usually to your request. You can drop by for a chat, a drink and some good times. Here is what our barman Sean Saunders, famous for his seven layer shots – or is it eight now? has to say about it:
“How about some great drinking and dancing? Got a favourite drink? I'll make it for you (if you need a special alcohol, be sure to bring a bottle with you). Don't know what you like? I'll make you some amazing drinks... you'll be coming back for more, guaranteed!!”

Did we mention all the drinks are FREE?
That is, if you can pull away from your conversation…

Vintage or Modern?

Some prefer to swing dance to the old classics, and some prefer more modern tunes. Whether you prefer to lindy, shag, blues or west coast, there will be a room for you. You can of course hop from one floor to the other to your heart’s desire:

  • Westie/Blues room (great Blues and contemporary music), open every eve until 5-6am
  • Vintage Swing room (vintage music of all style and tempo), open every eve until 5-6am

Dance 'till you drop

This year, we plan to have you dancing ‘til the sun rises. As soon as the competitions end, DJs and bands will be at hand to make you dance ‘til you can’t keep your eyes open anymore. This year, the dance floors won’t be far from the party room, so you’ll be able to alternate from one to the other easily.

  • A novel alternating schedule (social dancing, classes and competitions 24h a day for three full days!)
  • Montreal Style « Crazinuss » (indeed, there are always surprises and party favors)

Stuff to do when/if you drop

  • Poker tournaments
  • Full Spa service in the hotel
  • Mingling with friends and meeting new people...
  • Hanging out in the Jacuzzi!
  • Enjoy one of the region’s Top Hotels within a beautiful lakeside setting
  • + all the fabulous stuff offered by our sponsors
