This is the album that started the whole swing revival! Released in 1991, it still reduces most other bands' albums to a lowly second place. RCR's sound and music style are definitely unique: they're gangster bop hepcats and the bad boys of swing! In all honesty, this album is probably the closest they come to performing traditional swing. With their unique arrangements and the voice of Eddie Nichols, the ultimate crooner on the scene, RCR brings a hard-edge 50's gangster feel to swing music. Were it not for the fact that the sound quality is not of major label gauge, this album would have been a definite 5 martinis. 5 BIG MARTINIS. The only negative side to RCR's music is that the drum beat is usually too fast for dancing, although there are some very danceable tunes. To all the local Montreal swing bands doing covers: "If you can fill the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds' worth of RCR, yours is the swing scene and everything that's in it, and -- which is more -- you'll be men, my sons!"

	Very bad. Everything about this sucks. Unless you're a DJ and absolutely have to own everything just for the sake of having it - PLEASE don't buy it!!!
	Not the bottom of the pile, but close. While there are some positive features - either sound quality, content, or the music itself are poor.
	Good recording. This falls under the category of CDs that you take out and dust off every once in a while for the few good tracks that are on it. You won't love it - but you won't hate it either.
	Very good selection. Music that falls under this category comes from a good sounding band(s), has good recording quality and arrangements. Lacks only a distinctive sound or energy to leap to the realm of greatness. This is a must have.
	Murderistic! Killa' Dilla'! This is a real stand-out recording by a stand- out band. This is a "should already have" for all of you hepcats out there. If you don't already have it - GET IT!!! Or you'll have to answer to Big Vic Vega!!!
